4. Data Retention

Enterprise Plans

Offline and on-prem deployments can include a no-data-retention option. Refer to your enterprise agreement for specific terms, controls, and retention commitments.

All Other Plans

We do NOT download or share your full project with anyone (including our servers) without your explicit consent. Our agentic system is designed to process only the portions of code needed for the task you request, which typically means selected files, snippets, and contextual chunks rather than full codebase transfers. Those chunks may include related prompts, execution context, and generated responses so the system can perform debugging, generation, explanation, and workflow orchestration with acceptable accuracy.

Because these capabilities depend on context-aware processing, relevant code chunks and interaction data may be retained on our servers for quality assurance, reliability monitoring, incident investigation, security review, and service improvement. Retention periods are scoped to operational need and legal requirements, and data that is no longer required is deleted, anonymized, or de-identified according to our internal retention controls.

For quality and benchmarking purposes, limited retained data may be reviewed by dedicated trusted employees under access controls and confidentiality obligations. The same data may also be processed by internal AI agents that run quality-control checks, evaluate response consistency, detect failure patterns, and support system-level safety improvements. These processes are intended to improve output quality and platform reliability while reducing unnecessary data exposure.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for service operation, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or business purposes. Temporary interactions may be stored briefly for monitoring or safety. Data that is no longer needed is deleted, anonymized, or de-identified.

5. Security

We implement industry standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted communication channels that use HTTPS/TLS protocols for data in transit between your browser and our services. PLC Copilot is hosted on secure infrastructure, which provides modern cloud security controls, monitored hosting environments, and platform-level safeguards designed to support confidentiality and service reliability. However, no system is completely secure. Users should exercise caution when sharing personal information.

Some features use API calls to third-party AI service providers. These requests are transmitted over encrypted channels and are limited to the minimum data needed to process your request. As with any third-party processing, residual risks may include service outages, transmission errors, or unauthorized access caused by vulnerabilities outside our direct control.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, delete, or export your personal information.
  • Restrict or object to processing.
  • Withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.
  • Lodge complaints with your local data protection authority.

PLC Copilot does not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising.

To exercise your rights, contact us using the contact form provided in the webapp.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
